While not evolving into anything, Mawile can Mega Evolve into Mega Mawile. Mawile's "jaws" are actually steel horns, which Mawile can articulate at will. Despite Mawile's docile look, their jaw-horns are strong enough to chew up an iron beam, so it's important to use caution,! The jaw-horns do have tongues, but are unable to taste; Mawile uses their jaw-horns to eat food it does not like.

Mawhile are usually found in caves, as their prefer darkness. Providing your Mawile with a nice dark area to hide is very important to their comfort.

Food

Mawile can eat pretty much anything, but they can be picky. Luckily, because their jaw-horns are (oddly enough) connected to their stomachs, they're able to eat things they dislike the taste of simply by using their jaw-horns rather than their actual mouths. Despite this, they may refuse food based on texture, rather than taste.

Grooming / Maintenance

The main grooming Mawile needs help with is brushing their jaw-horns. They're made of steel and can tarnish, so it's important to keep an eye out for that. Other than that, Mawile can groom themselves.

Mawile are fairly easy to care for, but can be temperamental and with the strength of their jaw-horns. Because of this, I do not recommend this Pokémon for absolute beginners. They get a rank 2!
